October 19th: Generations of Bebop |

Tickets on sale now! The history of bebop can be traced through the development of evolving piano styles. New sounds and sonorities emerged as the music grew, and melodic lines and voicings changed. Three figures were key in this development: Bud Powell, Mary Lou Williams, and Bill Evans. In homage to these masters and the different styles of bebop they espoused, three of Colorado’s finest pianists will perform their takes on this great American art form.
