Rude Real Estate Realities 

Making news this week is the selling property pooch named Tiffany.The pooch's owner dresses Tiffany in bright outfits and places Tiffany quite comically in her own real estate listings. The partnership started two years ago when Tiffany's owner and a nearby Queensland real estate agency noticed the difficulty of finding 'pet friendly' homes. Since then, the shih tzu cavalier cross has made her mark in the industry. And yes...the photos of Tiffany are doing more than putting a smile on peoples faces. In fact, the agents reportedly tested two similar properties, one featuring Tiffany, one without. The property that featured Tiffany got twice as many hits, and also sold at a higher price. The pooch now has her own Facebook page. For more on these properties, click here

Today's distressed property of the week is located in Redland Bay, Queensland. The property first came onto the market back in September 2015. After several months without so much as a bite, the vendor has slashed the price down to $549,000, a total reduction of $50,000!!!

The property is larger than your average family home, with a massive four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and accomodation for up to two vehicles. As you can see, the home is set on a large block with double side access. The vendor says that this property is ideal for entertaining guests, with a large private garden out the back, undercover patio and generous resort style pool.

Top Ten Discounted Properties Nationwide


Welcome back bargain hunters! 

Over the past week 14 Endeavour Road, Georges Hall, NSW has sold by private treaty. The property was originally advertised with an asking price above $1.2 million, with the vendor only recently knocking this price down to $875,000. With a final sold price of $865,000, the new owner certainly grabbed a bargain, with the vendor selling the property a further $10,000 below the asking price. 

Taking its place in tenth position on our list this week is 1602/231-245 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands, VIC.  The property made its way onto the market back in July 2013 with the vendor originally asking for offers above $650,000. Since then the vendor has reduced the price down to $465,000, a total reduction of $185,000. 

The property consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, and one secure undercover car space. Key features include Gas SMEG cooktop, stainless steel appliances, reverse cycle heating and cooling, ample storage space, and a dual access balcony. The unit is located within close proximity of public transport and is just minutes from Melbourne CBD.
