SelectCoder Tip of the Week

An ICD-10-CM code from category I22.- (subsequent ST elevation [STEMI] and non-ST elevation [NSTEMI] myocardial infarction) must be used in conjunction with a code from category I21.- (acute myocardial infarction). The sequencing of the codes will depend on the circumstances of the encounter.
