When viral hepatitis is also documented as a confirmed diagnosis in a patient with any diagnosis classifiable to ICD-10-CM category K74 (fibrosis and cirrhosis of liver), the appropriate code from B15-B19 should also be assigned. The sequencing of the K74 and the viral hepatitis code is according to the focus of care.
