ICD-10-CM code F98.5 (adult onset fluency disorder) is used to report the post-childhood onset of stuttering symptoms secondary to emotional stress or trauma. Do not assign F98.5 to report fluency disorder as a sequela of cerebral vascular disease or another cause or to identify dysphasia.
