SelectCoder Tip of the Week

Coders should only assign ICD-10-CM code L10.5 (drug-induced pemphigus) when documentation clearly indicates that a drug or chemical is the underlying cause of the disease. Coders should assign codes from code categories T36-T50 following L10.5 to indicate the drug or chemical and any applicable adverse effects.
