SelectCoder Tip of the Week

Coders should not assign a code from ICD-10-CM subcategory M94.26- (chondromalacia, knee) for chondromalacia patellae (also called "runner's knee" or CMP). Chondromalacia patellae is an inflammation of the underside of the patella and is reported with a code from subcategory M22.4- (chondromalacia patellae).
