Juvenile jail chaos: Not the best week for the Bridge City Youth Center. Five teens escaped from the troubled juvenile detention facility Thursday morning and, later that night, sheriff’s deputies were called in to restore order after around 20 youths staged a takeover. Now some Jefferson Parish elected officials want the place shut down.
