Tech journalist Kara Swisher has been holding Silicon Valley and its founders accountable for decades, and has developed keen insights into the business practices, culture, and psychology of the tech world. Swisher is an advocate for technology, but she calls it like she sees it. “What I would hope for tech people is that they would understand history, they would understand art, they would understand design, they would understand the impact,” she says. “If you don't understand the impact you have and you only care about your next dollar, you are not going to be good, you're not going to go down well in history and that’s what I remind them.” The co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, interviews Swisher about her memoir “Burn Book” — now out in paperback with a new afterward — and her experiences reporting on the tech industry’s biggest moments.
