THE SILENT WIFE? OOOOHHH that sounds like a breakneck thriller that will keep me on the edge of my seat and turning pages through the night and into the morning where I will be exhausted but happy because I just read my favorite book of the year. But what exactly makes it so special?
Why, thank you for asking. The first thing that makes this book so special is that Jeffrey Tolliver is back.
Wait, what!?! Jeffrey is back? Like back back?
Don’t be ridiculous, he can’t be back back, that is impossible and he never took a shower in a Texas ranch and realized it was all a dream.
No, what happens is that Amanda and Will have to reopen one of Jeffrey’s cases so the story goes back in time to show what was happening with Jeffrey, Lena, and Sara back then. And then of course Sara and Will are dealing with that in real time. Oh, and of course there is murder and sex and lots of other stuff I don’t want to spoil in there, too.
So what you are saying is that we are going waaay back? Like back to the beginning.
Exactly, which leads me to my next point. Did you know that twenty years ago I published my very first book and that this is my TWENTIETH BOOK?!? I am sure you are saying to yourself, “How could someone so youthful be old enough to have written twenty books?” And to that I say thank you and also you are very correct. IT BOGGLES THE MIND!
