KATE’S CONES ICE CREAM PARLOUR

International crochet and knit artist Kate Jenkins is bringing her ‘Kate’s Cones’ interactive ‘ice cream’ art exhibition to Brighton seafront in June.

Kicking off with a special event to coincide with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee extended Bank Holiday weekend, the exhibition opens from Thursday 2nd June. Kate’s Cones will see the Brighton-based pop-art creator serve up colourful scoops and nostalgia-laced lollipops made from her distinctive yarns.

“Kate’s Cones was born from our collective yearning for more carefree days of sunshine staycations, celebrating the Great British Summer with a nod to nostalgia yet with a firm eye on a brighter future,” says Jenkins, whose playful pop-art foodie creations have won her fans from Hong Kong to Hollywood. “I love to create food-related knit and crochet artworks and ice creams seemed to fit perfectly for my summer exhibition.”

Visitors to Kate’s Cones can expect a Fab-ulous range of ice cream creations, including classic Feasts and 99s to Mr Whippy and, of course, a ‘Cornitto’.

Kate’s Cone opens 2nd June and runs until 10 July 2022.
