KNEELING SANTA - KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS
This two piece set includes a small 2" statue of Santa kneeling in adoration of the Christ Child and a small green velvet pouch with the words,"Keep Christ in Christmas" stitched on it.
Inspired by the popular Kneeling Santa statue created by Raymond Gauer, this statue shows Santa Claus seated on the ground swaddling the Baby Jesus while He sleeps in his arms. Next to Santa is a young lamb with its eyes fixed on Jesus – this is a good reminder that Jesus, the Lamb of God was born to take away the sins of the world! Come let us adore Him! Made of a resin-stone mix and hand-painted with great detail. Measures approximately 6”H.
While raising his own family in the 1970's, Raymond Gauer became increasingly concerned about the over-commercialization of Christmas. In an effort to counteract that trend, he was inspired to create the beautiful figurine of the Kneeling Santa. This rendition of that image from Joseph's Studio shows Santa kneeling in adoration and gazing lovingly upon the sleeping Christ Child in the manger thus placing things in their proper perspective with the secular (Santa) subservient to the sacred (Jesus). This statue is a beautiful reminder for us to keep our priorities straight. The statue is made of polyresin and is hand-painted. Measures 5”H.
