| FILTER LIFESPAN Our Hepa-Type filters (Cinqro Sports, Allergy Particle, Sports filters) are replaced based on discolouration. The particulates that are retained in the filter media can increase inhalation resistance. If inhalation resistance is not an issue then there is no need to replace the filter. Maintaining hygiene to keep the filter hygienically clean is essential. Our 'Combination' filters (Cinqro Urban, Techno, Allergy Chemical Particle filters) are replaced based on the characteristics of the activity of an urban cyclist. If you are using your mask for another activity it still applies. However your breathing rate will proportionally either shorten or lengthen the lifespan of the filter. If your breathing rate is say half that of a cyclist then the effectiveness of the filter would be twice as long. For cycle commuting on a daily basis we recommend that the filter should be replaced every month or every 69 hours, whichever is sooner. |
