Keep up your writing skills - check out our CHEERFULNESS notecards
I got my first batch of “Cheerfulness” greeting cards in June, and already they’ve become my favorite cards of all time and I’ve sent off two dozen to friends. The quotations from the book inside, a blank space for a few handwritten lines, some news, and the beautiful Mylène Fernandes photos of the young woman with the balloons — it’s an all-purpose any-time-of-year pick-me-up that beats texting and web posting because it comes written in your own hand. It’s the difference between homemade and processed. Factory egg salad or the real kind. I wrote the book to try to dispel the gloom of the past few years and now it’s turned into tokens of friendship. And friendship is what it’s all about, what it’s always been all about.
