Around two-thirds of college seniors want to work in offices full time or several days each week, in comparison to just 2% who would prefer to work full time from home, according to a report by iCIMS. In addition, 97% of HR executives intend to use video during hiring processes although 80% of college seniors prefer in-person formats, and the top online application sources are LinkedIn, Indeed, Google, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter.

Hourly jobs, high-skilled professionals and business services firms are hiring across a broad range of jobs, as 8.1 million jobs opened in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Bank of America has announced it will increase its US workers' minimum wage to $25 an hour by 2025. The bank said it will also require its vendors to pay workers at least %15 per hour.

Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to make a one-time investment of $1 billion in the state's university system to improve workforce training. The proposal includes making Humboldt State into a polytechnic school and expand workforce initiatives at community colleges.

Humans aren't the only species to laugh

Sixty-five or more different species make vocalizations akin to human laughter when they are at play, according to findings published in Bioacoustics. Other creatures that vocalize during play in addition to humans and other primates include the degu, killer whales, the Rocky Mountain elk and at least three types of birds, including kea parrots.
