As this year comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude for you and for how this farmers market community has stuck together through the roller coaster of the last three years. You prove the power of this community to nourish one another, while championing our values of sustainability, equity, and care.

With your support in 2022, we distributed more than $115,000 in Market Match tokens at Foodwise farmers markets, so that families using CalFresh (food stamps) could buy twice as much fresh food, while directing thousands of dollars to California farmers. Through our Foodwise Kids and Foodwise Teens programs, 2,500 SFUSD students nurtured critical food and job skills. We relaunched our free public education programs, welcoming thousands of visitors to learn, participate, and share in the bounty of the farmers market together.
