Twenty-one years ago, Scott Zink, was a New York City police sergeant who responded to the Sept. 11 attacks. Now, retired and living in Utah, he reflects on his experiences at Ground Zero.
Zink and Hector Soto, a retired New York City Transit worker who now lives in West Haven, shared their stories with schoolchildren and others who stopped by their booths at the “Davis Remembers” 9/11 memorial exhibit sponsored by the Major Brent Taylor Foundation in Farmington.
“It’s hard. You think about it every day. It’s impossible not to,” said Zink.
