| | | Kentucky Science Center to Close to the Public, Opening Pop Up Science Days for Children | | Following the guidance of the Louisville Metro Public Health department and the Mayor’s Office, Kentucky Science Center will be closed to the public from Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m. until Monday, April 6 at 9:30 a.m. in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to responsible, prudent actions during this time as the safety and well-being of our guests, team members, volunteers, and partners are our priority. As a service to working parents and caregivers, Pop Up Science Days, with fever screening upon entry, will be offered daily Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3. Pop up Science Days are only for children age 4 through 6th grade and will run from Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. We will not be open to the general public so there will be more room for our Pop Up Science Days children to spread out, allowing more social distancing among them. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as spots are limited. | | Most of us have never been through an experience like the COVID-19 pandemic. The KSC community, working together, will get through this and will be back to Do Science soon. We encourage you to stay informed with reliable resources.
