Weather will be the main soybean market driver over the next month as the crop enters its crucial growing phase beginning the end of this month and into August. Weather in the Midwest leans slightly bullish for soybean prices. A transition to drier weather Friday through August 2, along with a return of hot temperatures next week, “will cause rapid drying of the soil across the Midwest and stress to crops will steadily increase with some declines in yield potentials likely,” said World Weather Inc. As the calendar turns to August, focus will quickly shift to the Pro Farmer Crop Tour, August 21-24, for in-field observations and data across 7 key states.
