South African actor, musician, socialite, and reality star Khanyi Mbau is set to take centre stage in a global first – the Comedy Central Roast of an African woman.

Mbau will sit fearlessly atop the Roast throne while comedians and other personalities sharpen their claws in a roast battle.

In a sit-down interview with Channel24 at Gemelli in Bryanston, Mbau unpacked her career growth and the opportunity to be Africa's first female roastee.

The 36-year-old's acting career has gained momentum in recent months with roles in Showmax's The Wife, stints in reality shows Young, Famous & African, Mbau Reloaded on BET and feature films, such as Happiness Ever After.

"I've been predominantly in front of the camera for about two years now.

REVIEW

"Nothing could ever replace Happy Gilmore or The Waterboy, but fortunately, Hustle is incomparable to Sandler's history of comedic sports movies. It's a film that is in a league all on its own, and sure, it's predictable, but for Adam Sandler, it's a win that I was not expecting."
