Register for the Deer Dash

May 5 at 7 am at Mitchell Park
This event is designed for both beginning and experienced runners. We offer a 5K race, a 10K race, and a 1-mile family fun run. The Deer Dash will help you sharpen your competitive skills in running and get in shape for other area events.

Sachs Recreation Center's FitStart Program is Back

FitStart is a 5 week long program starting April 8 and will include the following:

5 personal training sessions

5 group nutrition workshops

2 weekly wellness meetings

2 individual health coaching sessions

NSSRA Summer Program Registration Opens Monday, April 22

NSSRA provides and facilitates year-round recreation programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities who live in its partner communities, including Deerfield. View the Summer Program Guide at www.nssra.org beginning Monday, April 15 and register for summer programs beginning Monday, April 22. Camp registration is open now! The registration deadline for summer programs is Friday, May 17 at 5:00 pm, with programs beginning Monday, June 17.

Thor Guard System will be Tested on April 2, 2019

On Tuesday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. you may hear the Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System being tested for the first time this year. It will sound like one long horn blast with an illuminating strobe light.

While this is just a test, this system will be in affect until November 30, 2019 to indicate lightning in the area and to please seek shelter in a building or a vehicle.
