'Like a family': Markey’s has been one of New Orleans’ most reliable sports bars for decades. Though LSU football and the Saints take priority on Saturdays and Sundays, the bar’s 16 flatscreens have opened the door for contingents of outsiders, including an ever-growing group of Eagles fans. Praying for solutions: All across Louisiana, churches are being uniquely squeezed by the state's insurance crisis. In response, a group of church leaders are working to set up a self-insurance fund. Sam Karlin has the story.
