All eyes were on the Kips Bay Decorator Show House this week where we ran into Stewart Manger, Jack Lynch, Kathy & Othon Prounis, Trish Carroll, Amy Hoadley, Kim Renk Dryer, Pam Taylor Yates, Andrea Robinson, Gil Walsh & Johnny Johnson, Brittany Bromley, Steven Stolman & Rich Wilkie, Tom Cary & Jim Dove. With so many New Yorkers in town, its been difficult getting restaurant reservations, but just this morning it seemed a bit quieter in town; as if some may be heading back north now. Nevertheless, our Instagram @palmbeachsocialdiaryjust broke 10K. Our most liked post? A bumper sticker we picked up at PB Boys Club that reads: WE DON'T HONK IN PALM BEACH. Boy, did that seem to resonate with our followers. Leading up to Opening Night at Kips Bay, Grace and Chris Meigher, together with The Colony Hotel and De Gournay, hosted a party to celebrate Palm Beach's Living Room featuring The Colony — a bespoke wallpaper. It was packed! From there, we attended a small dinner co-hosted by Jim Dove of Jim Dove Interiors at the home of Heidi Greene & Michael Kluger for Christopher Spitzmiller. Please read out featured story to see more photos of their award winning enchanted garden designed in collaboration with Fernando Wong. Prior to that, Steven Stolman spoke with Spitzmiller about his new book, A Year at Clove Brook Farm, as part of his "Conversations on Style" at The Society of the Four Arts. We also attended a book signing for Celerie Kemble's new book, Island Whimsy, hosted in collaboration with Lela Rose in the Solarium at The ColonyHotel, where they featured Lela's new Pearl by Lela Rose line and were delighted to meet Amy Birdsong Golden — a long time fan of New York Social Diary. Bergdorf Goodman partnered with The Colony Hotel this week "to bring a bit of New York City luxury to Palm Beach." Bergdorf's top clients had the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive shopping experience, complete with an assortment of highly curated product, complimentary Volvo car service, refreshments and one-on-one personal styling appointments. Guests also had access to a Bergdorf Goodman x The Colony ice cream cart and a Bergdorf Goodman branded "beach buggy" while visiting. The service was available by appointment only through April 10th. And Marc Rosen, founder of the Palm Beach Friends of Lighthouse Guild, hosted a cocktail party at Swifty's Pool with Fran Scaife, Audrey & Martin Gruss, Kit Pannill and Tom Quick. An exhibition of work by photographer Annie Watt called Impromptu Portraits, a Distinguished Decade, will take place at The Colony on Weds, April 28th (10am-3pm) and Thurs, April 29th (10am-5pm). A VIP cocktail will be hosted by Sarah & Andrew Wetenhall, Robert Caravaggi, Eleanora Kennedy, Janet Levy, Doug Evans and others on April 27th. Andrea Stark, Adrien Arpel, and her daughter Lauren Newman chaired the 6th Annual Bark & Brunch to Benefit Tri-County Animal Rescue at Trump International Golf Club. Check it out HERE. Melissa Ganzi -owner of Santa Rita Farm in Wellington and founder of Grand Champions Polo Club, got polo players Nacho Figueras and Nic Roldan out on the field for the 8th Annual Great Futures Celebrity Polo Charity Cup & Brunch raising more than $180,000 to benefit Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club of Wellington. See picsHERE. PR Maven Susan Magrino and Chateau d'Esclan's Paul Chavalier hosted a dinner in celebration of Whispering Angel's 15th vintage at Le Bilboquet featuring the newly release Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel 2020 vintage and Rock Angel. The big reveal? Whispering Angel Rosé has fewer carbs than you think, so cheers! And last but not least, the Town of Palm Beach welcomed a new mayor this week, the wonderful Danielle Moore whom we had the pleasure of meeting at Betsy and Wally Turner's recently. Thank you, Gail Coniglio, for serving our town for fourteen years. Welcome Mayor Moore! |
