Know kids smart enough to design a train station?

Then let them shine by taking part in the #ICanEngineer competition from ICE -- aka the Institution of Civil Engineers.

What's the deal? Kids will be asked to design a brand new train station for London (pretty cool idea, no?). It's a beautiful chance to turn school knowledge into practical knowhow. They'll learn the power of problem solving, collaboration... AND get to meet real-life engineers. Maybe they'll be the same minds working on Crossrail 4 or HS6...

The competition is for secondary school pupils between 12 and 15 years old. It's absolutely FREE to take part. They just need to be at a school that's within a London borough. Parents, guardians and teachers interested in getting kids involved: email ICanEngineer@ice.org.uk. Deadline for entries is 24 January 2022. So start spreading the news!

Hands-On Experience

Kids will love turning their classroom knowledge into a practical assignment, and seeing a train station of their own design come to life! Plus, insight from actual engineers makes this an experience they'll remember.

Track Record

The #ICanEngineer competition is now in its fifth year - ICE knows exactly just how fun and rewarding it is for kids. It's also supported by engineering companies Mott Macdonald, Ramboll, WSP and SCS Railways.
