Baseball fans can bid official farewell to Capital City Stadium

On April 4, area baseball fans can bid a final farewell to Capital City Stadium, former home of the Capital City Bombers and other teams throughout its storied history. Historic Columbia will host Closing Day at the stadium, located at 301 Assembly St., from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Kiawah Resort opens new conference center

Kiawah Island Golf Resort has opened its new conference center, one of several projects in the resort’s expansion launched in 2018. The West Beach Conference Center contains 23,000 square feet of pre-event and meeting space, including a 10,000-square-foot ballroom and 11 breakout rooms.
