Lamplighters Music Theatre presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s Princess Ida
2/1, 2/2 - San Francisco, CA
2/8, 2/9 - Walnut Creek, CA
2/22, 2/23 - Mountain View, CA
Lamplighters’ Princess Ida is an update to the Gilbert and Sullivan musical satire of feminism and Darwin. With subtle changes in dialogue, the characters are allowed to maintain the humor of the original but give us a plot that is pleasing to our 21st Century views. In a year with so many women running for president, why not have a Princess choose her own path?
