| Despite the well-documented contributions of KQED partners the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival and American Masters present a preview screening of a new documentary about the life and times of Bella Abzug. Closing out this year’s Festival, this film by documentarian Jeff L. Lieberman examines the astonishing 65 year career and legacy of one of the modern founders of the women’s rights movement, a civil rights and labor lawyer, and anti-war organizer who was the first woman elected to congress on a women’s rights and peace platform, featuring never before seen home movies and new interviews from figures such as Barbara Streisand, Gloria Steinem, Nancy Pelosi, and more. | |
