Did you know that March 20th marked the first day of spring? It sure did feel very spring-y over the weekend since we were thankfully blessed with some sun, a superbloom, and, personally, I got to enjoy a lovely sandwich from Parkside Market at the beach that my dog tried to trick me out of — she did not succeed by the way.

It's only right that we also mark the start of spring with a fresh newsletter from the food team at KQED. You might know us for our James Beard Award-winning television show, Check, Please! Bay Area! (which returns to KQED 9 on April 11th), but we also have tons of recipes, guides, and community spotlights from the Bay Area and beyond to share with anyone who loves food...and, really, who doesn't love food?
