2018 marks Michael Krasny's 25th anniversary as host of KQED's Forum program. To commemorate that milestone, Forum on the Road is back for a new series of in-depth live broadcasts reaching out across the Bay Area. On Tuesday, March 6, Michael brings the show to the historic Empress Theatre in downtown Vallejo, 9-11am. The waterfront city has undergone major changes since declaring bankruptcy 10 years ago. We'll talk with Mayor Bob Sampayan and other guests about the local economy, the burgeoning arts scene and the experience of being one of the country's most diverse cities.

Don't miss the 15th annual International Ocean Film Festival, a four-day festival featuring over 50 ocean-inspired films from around the world, including two of KQED’s Deep Look short films screening Saturday, March 10 at 4pm and Sunday, March 11 at 4pm. Screenings will be held at the Cowell Theater in Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture and the Roxie Theater in San Francisco, and the Lark Theater in Larkspur. Tickets required.
