Painting Is My Everything: Art from India's Mithila Region features artists, many of them women, who work within a traditional painting style to express personal experiences and viewpoints.

Admission is free to KQED members plus one guest (total of two persons per current KQED MemberCard or membership information from On Q magazine and valid ID). Tickets are based on day-of availability only.

Great American Read Panel Discussion with Michael Krasny

Listen to Bay Area authors and booksellers debate the merits of the 100 best-loved novels list from PBS' The Great American Read, at Mill Valley Public Library's Main Reading Room on Friday, September 7, 7-9pm. Michael Krasny, host of KQED's Forum, will lead a panel discussion on the everyone's favorite novels, thoughts on what was left off The Great American Read list and predictions for the top ten. Voted on by the public, the winning book will be revealed on the finale episode, airing on Tuesday, October 23 on KQED 9.

Join Snap Judgement and KQED's The Bay for a special night of storytelling on Saturday, September 22 from the people at the center of the October fires. Emceed by Snap Judgment's Glynn Washington and hosted by The Bay's Devin Katayama, we'll look at what happened the night of October 8th, when the most destructive fire event in state history swept through Northern California. The event is part of the exhibition and climate festival COAL + ICE. Tickets are $15 per person.
