Grabango founder and CEO Will Glaser believes checkout-free tech will “soon be everywhere” despite the fact that Amazon just pulled its "Just Walk Out" tech.
So we asked: Do you think checkout-free tech “will be everwhere”?
And you answered:
- No, we are not ready for tech (64%)
- Yes, it will take off (33%)
- Other, tell us in the comments (3%)
And you also said: Wendy Sullivan, GM I believe it will be a mix. Some people appreciate being able to grab what they want and go, and are honest. Others rely on the interaction for affirmation of their purchases and also enjoy being around people. Figuring out who your target market is will become tricky as consumers are either told by AI what they want, or, the human side of us demands social interactions and decide for ourselves what we want to purchase. I believe it is still up in the air.
Jeff Walker I believe we have seen in existing examples in the industry that there are still many variables that must be considered before it can become sustainable. -- Have another thought?
