President of the Government takes part in UN high-level meeting on gender equality and empowerment of women and girls


The President of the Government, Pedro Snchez, took part in the Beijing+25 high-level meeting entitled "Speeding up the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls", held by the United Nations (UN). The event was held to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the 4th World Conference on Women, which approved the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

Pedro Snchez claims that government is protecting "present and future of Spanish people" and their institutions


The President of the Government defended "co-governance" with the regional governments of the European Reconstruction Funds and announced that in the coming weeks this will be addressed at a Conference of Regional Presidents, which will include the presence of the President of the European Commission. He also called on the parliamentary groups to approve the appropriate Budget for the "extraordinary circumstances" of the country.

The President of the Government, Pedro Snchez, took part in the United Nations (UN) High-Level Debate "Financing Development in the COVID-19 era and beyond". This event, called by the Secretary-General of the UN, Antnio Guterres, and the Prime Ministers of Canada and Jamaica, Justin Trudeau and Andrew Holness, seeks to structure a multilateral, coordinated and integral response to the urgent crisis facing finance development as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Pedro Snchez recalled that "it lies in our hands to ensure that no-one is left behind in this crisis" and that "development financing is the key to the success of this task".
