Sánchez reiterates Spain's deep commitment to NATO unity and strength against Putin

The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has taken part in the extraordinary NATO Summit convened by its Secretary General, Jens Stoltenbeg, where the allies requested their mandate be extended. The aim of the Summit was to address the current framework of challenges facing the Alliance following the invasion ordered just over a month ago by Vladimir Putin's government.

Sánchez highlights the value of the agreement between Spain and Morocco in Melilla, which opens up a horizon of strengthened cooperation between the two countries

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has visited the autonomous city of Melilla, where he reiterated that the agreement between Spain and Morocco sets out a horizon of strengthened cooperation between the two countries in terms of migration policy, the fight against terrorism and trade and economic cooperation.

In the Lower House of Parliament, the President of the Government of Spain expressed his conviction that an agreement will be reached this week with the transport sector to cushion the effects of the fuel price rises. Furthermore, he reiterated that, following dialogue with European partners, social partners and parties, the next Council of Ministers will approve the plan to fairly distribute the burdens of the invasion of Ukraine.

The Government of Spain approves two new strategic plans to boost the economy

The Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for the Digitalisation of the Water Cycle will modernise water management in cities, irrigation and industry. PERTE Aerospace will enable this industry to face new challenges. The Executive has also regulated the Bono Cultural Joven (Youth Cultural Voucher), worth 400 euros, to enjoy cultural products and services.

The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met with the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, in Paris to discuss this week's European Council. The two leaders discussed the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation and its consequences: rising energy prices, the strategic autonomy of the European Union, the unity of the EU-27 to confront the crises and the humanitarian situation of Ukrainian refugees.
