Mariano Rajoy trusts that spirit of dialogue and consensus of 1978 can prevail during this legislature

During the events held in the Lower House of Parliament on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, stressed the importance of reaching agreements between the different political forces represented in Parliament, since this would represent an opportunity to make progress on key reforms for Spain.

Government extends calendar for implementing LOMCE

The results of the final exams will not affect compulsory secondary education (Spanish acronym: ESO) or advanced compulsory secondary education [Bachillerato] results while the State Education Pact is being negotiated. The government also adopted measures to repair the damage caused by the latest floods. In addition, it agreed to ask the Lower House for authorisation to increase the number of personnel deployed in Iraq within the framework of the global coalition against DAESH.
