The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, received the President of the European Court of Auditors, Klaus-Heiner Lehne, at Moncloa Palace. The latter is visiting Spain on 13 and 14 March within the framework of a round of visits to the main European capitals.

Government extends protection for mortgage debtors

The government has agreed to extend until 2020 the moratorium on evictions for those groups hardest hit by the crisis, make the criteria more flexible to benefit from protection measures and offer an option to rent their primary dwelling at a reduced price. The government has also made 600 million euros available in loans to the industrial sector.
