Louisiana Supreme Court removes Baton Rouge Judge Eboni Johnson Rose

'A substantial threat:' The Louisiana Supreme Court has removed a Baton Rouge judge from the bench, saying she "presents a substantial threat of serious harm to the public." The Supreme Court said the disqualification results from a recommendation from the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana, which is investigating allegations of misconduct by Johnson Rose. Mayoral race: The two most prominent candidates for Baton Rouge mayor are quarreling after a candidate forum scheduled for Tuesday was postponed, with one candidate suggesting the incumbent mayor does not want to face him on a debate stage. Coastal protection: U.S. Rep. Garret Graves, who spent six years as Louisiana’s point man on coastal restoration, says he is worried that parts of Gov. Jeff Landry’s proposed restructuring of the agency in charge of it are rooted in politics instead of science. 

“I’ve got major concerns,” Graves, R-Baton Rouge, told The Times-Picayune following a congressional field hearing on the energy sector and coastal restoration on Friday in Thibodaux.
