Produced by Yusoku Kumihimo Domyo (Domyo), a Tokyo-based company that has been making braided silk cords by hand since 1652, the exhibition introduces the diverse techniques and long history of kumihimo, which began in the 6th century as an art form of the Imperial Court and Buddhist temples.
