Hocus-Focus Film Festival @ The Alex Theatre

The venerable Alex Theatre in Glendale is getting back to what it does best, launching its new series, the ALEX Picture Show, with a weekend-long Hocus-Focus Film Festival. A series of classic and cult horror films will be paired with curated short subject horror films from local filmmakers.

The schedule is listed below:

  • Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. and 10 pm: Donnie Darko (2001).
  • Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 pm: Hellboy (2004).
  • Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 pm: The Sixth Sense (1999).
  • Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 pm: The Shining (1980).
  • Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1 pm: Beetlejuice (1988).
  • Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 pm: The Omen (1976).
  • Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7 pm: A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

L.A. GOAL's 3nd Annual Art Show

Join L.A. GOAL for our free 32nd Annual Art Show on October 29th, 10:30AM-3:30PM. The show is titled, “Peace by Piece,” and showcases the artwork of our Artists. This is a vital opportunity to educate the public about the abilities of individuals with developmental disabilities.

All persons must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Please bring both your vaccination card and a photo ID, we will be checking both. Masks will also be required.

Free Creatures @ Hotel Ziggy

Join us on the next stop of the Unofficial Z Collection hotels national music roadshow at Hotel Ziggy on Oct. 27th, with headliner Free Creatures, the three-piece powerhouse fusion of alternative hip hop, indie jam, psych rock, and EDM.

A portion of proceeds will go towards supporting Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that provides assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.
