Labor Department increases overtime salary threshold
A new rule from the Trump administration revealed Tuesday raises the Labor Department's annual salary threshold below which workers qualify for overtime wages to $35,568. As of next year, employers will be required to pay time-and-a-half rates to workers earning below the threshold amount for all hours beyond 40 per week.
