WEB-FIRST REVIEWS OF BOOKS AND MEDIA
The Satapur Moonstone Sujata Massey's The Satapur Moonstone, the second book in her "Perveen Mistry" series, is one of three starred fiction titles this week. "Highly recommended for fans of other intrepid women sleuths such as Elizabeth Peters’s Amelia Peabody and Tasha Alexander’s Lady Emily." Nick de Semlyen's Wild and Crazy Guys: How the Comedy Mavericks of the ’80s Changed Hollywood Forever is one of two starred nonfiction titles. "Beautifully written and absorbing, this is a valuable addition to the chronicles of American comedic cinema." This week's starred graphic novel is The New World, Vol. 1, by Aleš Kot, with illustrations by Tradd Moore and others. "This highly enjoyable adventure has something for everyone, and readers will be eager to find out what happens. The story appears to wrap up in this collected volume of single issues 1–5; however, one hopes for more involving these characters. Highly recommended for mature audiences." And in e-originals, Alyssa Cole's Can’t Escape Love: A Reluctant Royals Novella is this week's starred selection. "Highly recommended for all readers of contemporary romance, even those who haven’t read the earlier series titles."
