Lafayette beat out two other cities to land Buc-ee's

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana business editor

Now that the ink has dried on the sale papers and the dust has settled on the Buc-ee's deal to open in Lafayette, I started to do some digging.

Lafayette actually beat out two other cities for the deal. There's a significant amount of roadwork that's going to happen to go with it (get this: a traffic signal at the intersection just south of I-10).

But the consensus was that this: that area is becoming a regional commercial draw, and some hope Buc-ee's is the thing that brings more to the area.

You can read my story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
