Louisiana mom drops lawsuit over law allowing minors to get an abortion without parental consent

A Lafayette woman dropped her constitutional challenge Wednesday to the state’s “judicial bypass” law, which allows judges to approve abortions for pregnant minors without a parent's consent, after it was revealed that her daughter received approval last week from a juvenile court judge for the procedure in spite of the lawsuit.
