The Lafayette Power Poll gives me some interesting takes on whatever is in the realm of public discussion. This month I asked questions regarding One Acadiana's efforts at attracting and retaining young talent in the Lafayette area and efforts at building a vibrant community. As a side note, the poll happened to go out the week a batch of U.S. Census data was released. So as respondents were asked how Lafayette is faring, the Census data indicates people are moving Lafayette Parish. It had the third-highest population increase (6,110) in the state between April 1, 2020 and July 1, 2022, behind only Livingston (6,141) and St. Tammany (8,688).
