Good evening

It’s the biggest immunisation programme in NHS history and Lancashire is at the forefront.
NHS staff at hospitals here in the county spent the weekend in preparation for the first vaccinations to be rolled out today.
Nobody is pretending this is a guaranteed 100% foolproof solution to tackling the pandemic which has curtailed people’s lives since March.
But after months of fear, tragedy and debate it is the first hope that this is the beginning of the end and a solution to needlessly losing lives and locking people up in their homes for months on end.
First on the list for immunisation are the vulnerable, those who have borne the brunt of both the virus itself and the restrictions, specifically the very elderly.
There are many naysayers to this project and many who are spreading misinformation to create fear and undermine the scientific work that has been undertaken.
Few of those have experienced personal tragedy at the hands of Covid themselves or work at the sharp end of our health services.
If we were taken ill with anything else, we would accept whatever help we could get.
Why not now?
Have a lovely evening and here's hoping this is the start of something positive.
Kind regards, Nicola
