Good evening, No-one said that emerging out of the other end of a pandemic was going to be easy...and so it is proving. One minute we think we have got it under control, we are Eating Out to Help Out and even daring to meet up with family and friends like in the old days. Then the next we are all preparing for lockdown again. The problem is that this time around we are all much wearier of the islotion, the toll on our mental health and the fear in the back of all of our minds that this might just be the way life is going to be for a long time to come. It might be easier, if it wasn’t all so confusing. While councils and business groups are rightly fighting their corner with the Government to ensure support for companies and individuals, we are left in the dark about exactly what new restrictions are on the horizon in our area. Perhaps this can’t be helped. After all, none of us have faced anything like this before. But at times of major upheaval in our lives, we need clarity above everything else. Then we can help each other deal with the bumps in the road ahead. Feel free to drop me a line with your views at gillian.parkinson@jpimedia.co.uk. Until next time, Take care, Gillian |
