EARLY REGISTRATION, LODGING, & CAREGIVING
Deadline: April 20th, 2022 at 11:59PM ET.
Register now and book your housing to take advantage of early bird rates for #AbSciCon22, taking place 15-20 May in Atlanta and online everywhere.

AbSciCon22 brings the multidisciplinary astrobiology community together to think about and discuss the possibilities of life beyond Earth. It provides an opportunity to connect over a shared passion for the impact of science and to celebrate this year’s theme: Origins and Exploration: From Stars to Cells. The conference will be a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual events, including free public talks and activities.

The AGU and AbSciCon organizing committee encourage an inclusive community with diverse participation. To help support participation for those with family or dependent obligations, we are offering caregiver grants for the 2022 meeting. Additional details are available on the website. Grant applications must be submitted by 1 May.
AbSciCon22 is also offering workshops Sunday prior to the opening plenary. Workshops are open to all AbSciCon attendees. Each workshop carries an additional $25 registration fee. Tickets can be purchased during registration.
Lastly, it has been three years since we met together in Seattle. Since that time we have lost many cherished members of our community, including Rafael Navarro-González, Ron Oremland, Sandra Pizzarello, and TC Onstott. We will celebrate their lives and memories together in Atlanta next month during a special memorial session after the opening plenary session on Sunday Night. If you know of other members of our community who have passed since 2019, please reach out to Martha Grover (martha.grover@chbe.gatech.edu) to share their names. Please also send any special photos of Rafael, Ron, Sandra, or TC for our slide show.
