Greetings!

I'm sorry if you've already seen and responded to this note -- I don't want to overfill your inbox, but I feel that it's an important cause and I don't have a way to temporarily remove folks from our email list... this will be the last time this year, I promise!

I don't like cancer.  I suspect you don't, either.  We have all lost friends and family to this terrible and persistent disease... and as research has led to far better treatments over the years, many of us have celebrated remissions and effective treatments when our friends or loved ones have been lucky enough to succeed in their fight.

For many years I've been supporting the research and patient care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute here in Massachusetts, which I know does wonderful work, especially for children and families... and I'm doing so again this year....

For the third year in a row I'll be honoring the memory of my Father, who died of colon cancer in 1994, and riding my bike in the 192-mile Pan Mass Challenge from old Sturbridge Village out to the tip of Cape Cod.  The ride begins in just a few minutes, at 5:30 EST this morning, and I would dearly love your support to help inspire me along the way as I huff and puff my way into Provincetown at the end of the ride tomorrow.

Stock Gumshoe readers have been a hugely generous source of support for all of my fundraising activities over the years, and more than 500 of you have already sponsored my ride, which is fantastic!   I feel extraordinarily blessed to work for such a kind and giving group of folks... and if you haven't yet given, I hope you'll consider doing so now.  It's a wonderful cause, and an inspirational event, and I couldn't do it without you. Please click here to visit my fundraising page and give what you're able... thank you!
