Home health coders will face a total of 615 code changes that will take effect on Oct. 1, including 279 new codes, 285 revised codes and 51 code deletions. And that’s not all, they’ll also have coding guidelines changes to contend with.
With this many changes, expert-led instruction is your only lifeline. Get a first look at these code changes when you join us at the 2018 Home Health Coding Summit. The Summit kicks off this Sunday but there are seats still available. When you attend, you will: - Learn strategies to support your agency efforts to collect and provide meaningful information, including how to ensure the documentation in a patient's chart supports the diagnoses.
- Develop a better understanding of coding fundamentals, guidelines and conventions while learning how your code choices impact your agency's reimbursement and patient outcomes.
- Access the most recent updates on coding guidance so that you can ensure your coding is compliant.
- Get the latest on the "with/in convention" and the havoc it's creating on home health coding, and how you should be handling it.
- Learn about the OASIS changes coming on Jan. 1, 2019, including the removal of M1025.
- For Intermediate Coders: Review success strategies for coding wounds, diabetes, neuroplasm, dementia, fractures, and joint replacements. Also, work through common home health scenarios and key ICD-10 conventions.
- For Advanced Coders: Benefit from deep-dive training on diabetes and complications coding, as well as complicated disease scenarios with multiple co-morbidities.
- Choose from 4 credentialing examinations and earn up to 22 BMSC CEUs.
