At a time when the world is seized with protecting our most cherished natural places, the Royal Canadian Geographical Society is launching its first ever Geographica Dinner – a celebration of people and organizations making a difference to protect the extraordinary natural beauty of the country.

Geographica is the newly named Annual Fellows Dinner, when we celebrate the achievements of explorers, researchers, geographers and champions who are making Canada better known to Canadians and the world.

The evening brings together the best of Canadian geography, exploration, arts and journalism, with one of Canada and the world’s best known nature photographers Paul Nicklen being honored along with singer songwriter Loreena McKennitt and RBC President and CEO Dave McKay in conversation with former CTV host Evan Solomon, NBC environmental correspondent Aliya Jasmine will the host for the evening.

The Geographica Dinner allows the Royal Canadian Geographical Society to raise important funds to support its programming that reaches more than 30,000 educators a year, and more than 14,000 students in person, as well as 4.219 million readers per month of Canadian Geographic magazine.
