Anna Wintour knows! And approves!

Last week at New York Fashion Week, we dropped in on the Gucci-Burger King collab's after-after party to ask Wintour what she thought of this year's Litquake merch line-up. She did not hold back. "You're gonna love the way you look—I guarantee it," Wintour said, taking off her famed glasses to look not at us, but through us. "Dead ass," she finished. Thanks, Anna!

The Handmaid's Tale
By Poul Ruders and Paul Bentley
Sep 14–Oct 1, 2024

Blessed Be the Fruit … of the Resistance
In a dystopian future, women are forced into childbearing servitude by an extremist theocratic regime. Escape is nearly impossible—but Offred, a handmaid, is determined to find a way back to her child, no matter the cost. Based on the landmark novel by Margaret Atwood, this intense operatic drama gives voice to a terrifying, fictional world. Poul Ruders’ evocative score creates one of the most impactful operas of the late twentieth century, seen for the first time on the West Coast in a powerful new co-production with The Royal Danish Theatre.
